Before booking, please familiarize yourself with this policy. By reserving a charter with QuietRiverForge, you acknowledge and accept these refund terms.

Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Full refund, excluding processing fees

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: €50 for credit card payments

Conditions: Should be requested via email or telephone in writing

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half the cost of the total charter

Processing Time: 7-10 business days

Processing Fee: €25 removed from the refund

Conditions: Credible justification required; administrative charges apply

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: Refunds are not available under these conditions

Exception: Consideration of emergency situations is possible

Alternative: Credit for a future charter may be provided at the discretion of management

Conditions: Emergency situations require supporting documentation

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety is our utmost priority. Should our certified captain determine weather conditions as unsafe for charter operations, we offer flexible alternatives:

  • Full Refund: Issued when rescheduling isn't an option
  • Reschedule: Move your booking to the next available slot without extra charges
  • Charter Credit: Issued valid for one year from the original charter date

Process of Weather Evaluation

Our assessment for weather includes:

  • Evaluation of wind velocity and orientation
  • Checking the wave height and marine conditions
  • Forecasted visibility and precipitation
  • Advisories and warnings from the Coast Guard
  • Safety appraisal from a professional captain

Decision Deadline: The decision regarding weather cancellations will be taken a maximum of 4 hours before the planned departure.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Cases of Emergency

We recognize that emergencies are unpredictable. Special consideration may be accorded to the subsequent scenarios:

  • Sudden medical condition or injury necessitating hospital attendance
  • Recent bereavement in the immediate family
  • Compulsory military duty or recall
  • Imperative jury obligation or legal summons
  • Natural catastrophes impacting travel

Requirement for Documentation

For medical emergency refund inquiries, provide the following:

  • Proof of hospitalization or medical note
  • Death notice (if pertinent)
  • Military deployment orders
  • Judicial summons or jury service mandate
  • Emergency or travel notices

Processing: Emergency refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days following receipt of necessary documentation.

Operational Cancellations

Vessel Malfunctions

In the event your vessel is rendered inoperable and cannot be remedied:

  • Alternative Vessel: We will endeavor to provide a vessel of similar caliber
  • Full Refund: Granted if no vessels of similar specifications are accessible
  • Partial Refund: Issued if replacement vessel is of different value
  • Consider ation: Additional recompense may be offered for the inconvenience caused

Crew Unavailability

In the scarce event that a certified crew isn't available:

  • We'll arrange a substitute crew when feasible
  • A full refund is issued if the charter is unable to proceed
  • Possibility of rescheduling with no extra fee

Processing of Refunds

Method for Reimbursement

Should a refund be necessary, it will be processed using the original payment method:

  • Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days

€50 charge for cancellations with notice exceeding 72 hours

Refund through Bank Transfer

€25 fee applies to all bank transfer refunds

Surcharge for International Transactions

Extra fees may apply for refunds involving international bank transfers

Charter Credits

Availability of Credits

Credits for future charters may be provided as an alternative to refunds under certain circumstances:

  • Last-minute cancellations (within less than 24 hours)
  • Cancellations due to weather
  • Voluntary requests to reschedule
  • Disturbances in operations

Specifications of Credits

  • Validity: Usable for one year from the issuance date
  • Transferability: Non-ass ignable
  • Value: Equal to the full cost of the charter without deductions for fees
  • Application: May be used for any charter subject to availability
  • Expiration: No renewals post the 12-month timeframe

Reimbursements for Partial Service

Service Disruptions

In the case of charter disruptions during the service which are within our control:

  • Proportional refund corresponding to the unused period
  • Future charter credit matching the unutilized value
  • Complimentary amenities or upgrades may be available

Interruptions Caused by Guests

In the event a charter is terminated prematurely due to the actions or safety breaches of a guest:

  • No reimbursement will be made for the unspent portion
  • Full charge is expected to be paid
  • Additional fees could be incurred

Settling of Disputes

If you have objections about a refund decision, the following steps may be taken:

  • Apply for review by our management department
  • Submit more detailed information or proof
  • Look for resolution via consumer protection organizations
  • Consider lawful measures as supported by relevant legislation

  • Charter's scheduled day and hour
  • Justification for cancellation
  • Requisite papers (if applicable)
  • Your preferred mode of refund

Third Step: Evaluation and Execution

Once we acknowledge your request within a day, our team will assess it according to policy, issue a verdict in two days, and process permitted refunds within the previously mentioned periods.

  • Refund operations are managed in €, independent of the initial currency of payment
  • We highly suggest obtaining travel insurance
  • This policy may be updated with a notice given 30 days prior
  • Refunds are subjected to relevant taxes and legal regulations
